Programming is now ready for the Community Centre's first session!

Our first registration for regular programs will take place on January 9th to 14th, Monday to Friday 2 pm to 8 pm and Saturday 10 am to 2 pm. at the Wakefield La Pêche Community Centre, 38 Valley Drive.

The Wakefield La Pêche Community Centre will open this November!

It’s finally happening and what a facility it will be for all of us!

A gift to open

When completed, it will include: a large multi-purpose room (The Great Hall) for physical activities, theatre and music performances, banquets and community gatherings; smaller rooms for classes and meetings of all kinds; a modern youth centre; an expanded library; and a kitchen. The exterior will feature a children’s play area, outdoor ice rink/basketball court and skateboard park, green space and parking for the village. Read more...

Hans Hopkins is the winner of the Design Idea Contest for the Centre's new logo.

Volunteer woodworkers at Bizier's workshop
Bizier Inc and Headwaters Canoes joined forces to manufacture and supply the pine siding and soffit for the community centre.

We are very excited to say that the new centre will be opening in October. Construction has had some hiccups which is to be expected but it is still on time and within budget. We should get the keys in late September and it'll take a few weeks to move in. Then we'll celebrate with a big community party! Read more...

Donate and be a part of building the new community centre. Download the Donation Form (pdf). Individuals and families who contribute $1000 or more will be designated as “Founders” and will be recognized on a plaque at the entrance to the Centre.
